Move Update...
So, plans for the move are going ahead. We have all the references in except the one from my bank and the one from our present landlord. My bank was basically being weird. They will have the reference to the estate agent in a few days, striking postal workers permitting. The current landlord claimed not to have received the request for the reference, so I got the estate agent to fax and email it to him.
We've chosen a date - Monday 5th October. We've had quotes from two removal companies and a third quote that is probably lost in the post somewhere. Sucks to be them! Unless their quote arrives tomorrow and the other company can't do the 5th, they're out of luck. It's like my boss tells me: get the quotes out quickly, because people will rarely wait for a quote.
That's it really... We can't really do anything more until the references come in. Well, we need to raise the deposit...
We are supposed to be out by the 17th, but the landlord has the place on the market and available from the 10th. So we worked out how much rent to pay him up to the 10th, and that's how much we're paying him!
