Got a phone call today from an estate agent. Not one of ours, the landlord's.
He wants to come and see the place on Saturday, presumably to measure up, make his notes etc... We are going to point out all the things the landlord should have fixed and hasn't! Well, Connie is, I'll be at work.
So, tonight, we've spent some time cleaning up the lounge a little bit, to make it a bit more presentable. Not that we care whether the landlord manages to let the place or not - in fact it would serve him right if he didn't. But we have got to get it clean anyway - it's in the tenancy agreement - so we're making a start. At least this way it looks like we care.
We're not expecting any viewings for a few weeks at least, and I actually said that the agent would be advised to get the landlord to fix the problems with the place before letting anyone view it!
