Thoughts
"Find something you enjoy doing, then find someone to pay you to do it..." These wise words were spoken to me by the head of my Sixth Form (US = High School), and I've never forgotten them.
Well, I enjoy writing. I would love to be a professional author. The tricky bit is surviving while you write that first novel, and the even trickier bit is actually getting anything published! And yes, I have tried. Incidentally, I just did a web search to see if I could find anyone who published erotica. There are very few. Looks like I may be forced to write sci-fi or fantasy... *sigh*
Other than that, so far the job-search is going slowly, mostly because I'm lazy... I need to get off my backside and start looking for jobs. The thing about writing is, it appeals to me because I could work from home, work my own hours, etc.
My feet are slowly recovering from over a year of abuse. For well over ten months I've been getting out of bed in the morning, putting my feet on the floor and going "OW!" It's still the case, but not so bad.
I remember watching the news yesterday morning and seeing a news item that made me want to post a comment. But for some reason, I cannot now remember what that news item was, nor can I find it on the BBC website... Oh well, it can't have been that important... *shrug*
