Work update
Well, back at work two days now.
OH MY FUCKING GOD WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING?
Well for starters, the branch is down to 10 people including Dan, Myself and James (who came back from sick-leave today). This also includes new 5 new people. While I was away, over half the staff either quit or were fired.
On top of that, the branch performance last week was 230 leads. Bristol did that in a day!
Yesterday, my first day back, I got 8 leads, and the branch got 58. Today I got 11 and the branch got 39! This is VERY BAD! When I'm getting ONE QUARTER of the branch's leads, there is something seriously wrong! I think my job is still relatively safe, but no-one else's is, least of all Dan's! The interesting thing is that Dan is going on holiday for a week in a few weeks time. If, during that week, things get turned around, they will almost certainly fire him and give me the branch... However, if they don't, then I may have a problem...
On the other hand, Dan has been given an ultimatum. Get the branch up to 400 leads per week or else. Now, 400 per week with 10 staff is 40 per person. The MINIMUM is 36 per person per week, and I aim for 60 per week, as should all the TMs.
Things are going tits up very quickly. However, with me back and writing 10 a day consistently, that should boost things up again, the way it did when I first came to Portsmouth. Not just because of my own contribution, but because others will see it can be done and do the same.
