Not dead... (still)
I was going to do an update last week, but for some reason I never finished it.
Work continues to go ok. The branch has slipped from the dizzy heights of writing 100 or more leads a week back to doing 60-70. Now, I think that was predictable. I'm not sure exactly why I say that, except that Rich told me a few weeks ago after I had a really shit day not to be "part of the crash".
Well, I'm consistently averaging 10 leads a day still. It's Saturday morning and I finished last night on 50. 10 today will get me 60. I know I can get over 10 today.
Wedding plans are going well. It is two weeks today that we tie the knot, weld the ball and chain on the ankle and other such euphemisms! The flights are booked, the hotel is booked, the transfer from the airport to the hotel is booked, parking for my car is booked, my passport made it back from the states in time, and the wedding rings are ready to be collected.
The solicitor in Toronto is doing all the legal stuff, the minister is booked, Cheri and Karl are waiting to be our witnesses, and Connie's sister is paying for the flowers. We've had a few things go wrong of course, like my passport getting delayed in the post and causing a mad panic. But that is good. If the things that go wrong are little things, then everything will eventually work.
My house is still a total tip. I think I'm sort-of waiting for Connie to move here before I try sorting it out. I really don't know where to put half the stuff. Not that I don't have places to put it, but that I can't decide what belongs where. With the kitchen, I just shoved things in cupboards. I expect my beloved will re-organise it all when she moves here. I hope she does because I don't like the way it is now, but I'm lacking the energy to re-do it myself!
Sorry I haven't updated in ages. Blame work and Satellite TV...
Ah well, I better go to work. I may post more tonight and/or tomorrow.
