I have a public speaking class (and yeah, I know, I talk too quickly - read slower :P) Our next speech is a sales presentation, of an item or service. I've decided to do a vacation destination

I actually like a few different places for the different things they present to me. These is what I choose and why.
In Ocean City, along Maryland's coast I get the rare opportunity to the ocean. Nothing else is as primal a force as what you see and hear there. The way the ever different waves seems to expand forever as the sun glints off their surface. In the distance, ships can sometimes be seen like small toys bobbing in a child's pool. The summer are filled with smells from things like Boardwalk fries and Coconut suntan lotions. Kites can be seen flying in the air of all shapes and sizes, and at night sand sculptures of religious significance are illuminated along the boardwalk.
Deeper in Maryland, campgrounds would rank as favorite place to vacation in as well. But for different reasons. There are barely trace signs of TV's, radios, traffic or loud Nabors while there. Roar of an ocean is replaced with slight winds blowing leaves.. or rain on a tent. White foam and sand is replaced with scenes of greens and browns. A place where seeing ants march along a path is a curious site instead of one of revulsion. Where thunderstorms sound more ominous and exciting then when hearing them pass from any solid structure made. And at night, stars shine more numerous and brighter then the place I vacation from. To me on a still night there, the sky is just simply amazing to watch.
Lastly would be my increasing getaways to SCA events. Pennsic included. There I find people that are nothing like I meet anywhere's else. The ability to learn new things about my self and new things are only limited by how many questions I can think of asking. The atmosphere is one of share for the most part. Knowledge passes freely there, as well as good times.. and good booze. I see crafts and things reinvented by minds a hell of a lot greater then mine would be able to. The SCA has it's fights, of all sorts. But I'm not there for those, seen enough of that thank you. During some of these events large, impressive tents of wood and canvas are erected. Scenes of knife throwers, court dancing, and metalworking are not only seen, but completely experienced. The social activity that these event offer is mind-blowing. Where I come from I'm always on guard, always watching anyone that gets within 10 feet of me with a wary eye. I have never walked anywhere's during any event where I was greeted by an angry passerby, or felt any of them were even a slight threat to me. I can actually be me for a change while there. More candid and open.
OK man I know you asked for one, but I like to bounce around so I gave you three. Hope this helps bruddah!
