The Simon Girl:Year One
I was looking at my tape archives recently and realized that we as a band have been recording for at least a year.Before that the three or so times we had played at seaside were recorded as well.The first tape is labeled 4/21/02 so I used this as a starting place for a project I have entitled "The Simon Girl:Year One".For those familiar with my "complete recordings" tape series(of which there are two;Elisabeth and her sister Anna)you know that anything we record ends up on the series.This would be a compilation of the best of those recordings hand picked by me and the band if they want to join me in this,spanning roughly a year in recordings from 4/02 to 4/03-our first seaside performance to the first recording's of Matt's songs.Sanwiched in between are lovely recordings from other seaside performances,college group,practices,the living room,jr. high,pioneertown etc.For this special compilation only I will bump the format up to cd if I can,otherwise it's tape only suckers.If you would be interested in obtaining one of these proposed cd's let me know and I'll give you one,if this happens at all.If there's anything from this era in simon girl history you want to hear,let it be known.Also I'll post a proposed song list if anyone's interested.
