Friday evening spent with AM, Ian, Al and Stella at Ruth's new house. Standard terrace house, but her design ability/style shows. Ruth cooked, hadn't had toad in the hole for a very long time. Nice chatty evening.
Spent the weekend in London for our wedding anniversary. Shopping, ate at Belgo centraal, evening at Jerry Springer the opera (cover me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians), night at the waldorf.
All the Jerry Springer reviews raved about it. I thought the first half where they parodied a show was very funny, but the second half where they tried to have a story line was pretty weak.
The waldorf was pretty much like any other hotel, apart from the huge plasma screen TV in the room.
Managed to get on the London eye at my fouth attempt on Sunday (closed in January for maintenence, closed at 8:01 in May, closed on saturday because some protester was climbing it). Nice views across London, well worth doing despite the queues.
