Something you quickly learn when you’re a student of music is that silence is uncomfortable. Rests are rushed through, ignored because there’s something about a pause in the music that can make a group of musicians edgy. In a rest, there’s time for a wrong note to go off, someone to not cut off with everyone else; a whole world of damage can be ( Read more... )

I don't know if this makes me really abnormal but I actually enjoy silence a lot. The kind you get from being home alone and knowing that no one will interrupt it for a long time. Everyone craves good company but I guess the difference lies in necessary company and unnecessary. I never cared much for the latter. I can't stand it even, so I'd rather be alone.

Having time to yourself is actually one of the ways to slow down a bit. I think too many people fill their days surrounded by people till they can't even think. You're not abnormal. And seeing that icon in action, I mark it Simon friendly.

It's a good thing I like reading you too. It's only you, beautiful, or I don't want anyone. If I can choose, it's only you.
