River's Progress

I'm getting kind of worried about the amount of time River is spending studying. I'm all for her learning. I think it's an important part of her recovery, but she'll sit there and scroll through text for hours. I wanted this to be a more relaxing and enjoyable process.

I was going to help her with a physical therapy plan in order to boost beta-endorphin and other neurohormone levels naturally. That would reduce anxiety. I think I need to do it to also give her something else to do so she can take a break from all the studying.

I asked her what is happening, and she thinks she needs to preparing meet someone she calls "two by two". She has been talking about them for some time though. I agree I heard quite a bit of screaming on Ariel. I don't know what or why it was going on, but if there's a pair of men running around killing Federal officers, I think the Alliance should be preparing to confront them instead of River.

I'm hesitant to let Mal know what I feel could be a worse case scenario of the "two by two" situation because he would as usual probably shoot first and ask questions later... River's recovery process being what is getting shot.

I have an obligation as the ship's doctor to keep Mal updated on the physical and mental health of the crew. First and foremost though, I'm River's brother. If there's a way to make her better, I need to make sure she gets the chance. I'll need to pay close attention to it though because letting a bad thing continue couldn't only disrupt the crew, but worst of all it could hurt River.
