Awesome (H)
So the last few days have been pretty awesome.
(Note I'm still still using that word)
I've had a modicum of success at work getting something which is quite a large deal working so thats a great feeling.
After the hassle of the downstairs neighbour the other week I ordered some wireless earphones so i can do what I like without making any noise. They're awesome. Im wearing them now so i can listen to Tool in my room *rock*.
I ordered Alien & Predator ( not to be confused with Alien Vs Predator ) the other day in those cool definitive edition discs only to discover that they are now shipping them in rubbish cardboard cases :'( I'll find homes for them and buy the tin case versions while I can, but on that note I got Alien 3, Predator 2 and Platoon today in the awesome tin case editions. Just watched P2. It was all like "Boom" "Gurgle" "Want some candy?" etc. (H)
Talked to Disha for a bit the other day. It was the 2nd time I've seen her online in forever. We caught up. Talked about what we were doing now etc. About how she works in Insolvency. Was nice to talk to her after all this time. Way off in the future *waves hands around* I might see if i can pay a visit (which is long overdue) but i guess it will be a while as our work schedule is pretty fully booked and I just took a month off.
Mr Dr Daddy "T" Tierney left on Friday to go live dans Scotland which his family. Was a shame. Chris was an awesome guy. He sat opposite me all through phoenix in the new building. Used to work on telescopes in the Chili-en mountains or somewhere. :'(
So the plan for the weekend is Cully is coming down and we're gonna hit the Cinema. Saturday is lined up for AvP-R, and the Sunday perhaps I AM LEGEND and Cloverfield. Should be fun. We were gonna do this at new years but i ended up being busy with teh families so it had to be rearranged.
Then in Feb we have the second coming of the EA Halo Dance Team. lol. Its this thing we're doing in Halo 3. Do a dance. Make a video. Send it to Bungie.net. Earn teh cudos. *shnizle*
I had to rescue a pair of enormous bean bags today at work. I call them the Bears. Others have named them 'Wookie testicles'. They're design types. The explanation is that they are massive fury bean bags. They were being removed from one of our meeting rooms and rather than have them leave the floor, we took one for my team and the designers had another. They've already gone down a treat afaik as both i, and the teams lead programmer have used them so *victory is mine*.
They are cool though.
Oh and I got the christmas Head-crab and Companion Cube. lol. They're awsome. lol. I've got the crab sat on my lamp at work above my head which looks like its just about to leap off and...er...i guess the word is 'couple' with my head.
The cube moves around. Mainly cos people keep picking it up to play with...er...I think i have a picture around here somewhere but i can't be bothered to get my phone from my coat pocket.
Oh man i forgot how much of an epic Eulogy is.
I dropped using MSN on my Mac as it kept kicking me at 12 and not letting me log in again. Found this Adium X software which is uber-customizable. I guess i don't really need it but its nice to make it look cool, and it does everything MSN was doing, plus doesn't kick me constantly so "win | niw"
So one of the awesome coffee guys at work got teh sacks. Which is rubbish as he was cool. We were discussing it with them the other day and I had no idea the office politics of a coffee bar could be so complex. Seems like 'the man' was hassling him and giving him a blow deal so he stuck it to them and lost. Man i hate the man.
Oh well i guess i can't really think of anything else to discus. Erm. Oh man i just thought...I could play Guitar Hero o_0. But I guess i'll just listen to some music and think about going to bed. Anyway.
