I've come to realize why I enjoy Lancaster so much now that I'm gone. When I come home I have no job, I don't usually have errands to run, I see my friends and family. I can actually get a good nights rest. This doesn't make Lancaster any better than Philadelphia, if anything it makes it worse. When I'm in Lancaster it's like I'm hiding from life, from the life I've been living since I moved.
LIfe was easier and in some aspects more fun before I moved. But more fun in a lazy sense, I didn't have any bills and neither did my friends, for the most part. We would hang out whenever we felt like it. Sure we had classes or a job to go to but we were only in our earlier twenties/late teens. I'll be twenty three in less than a month and it strange to think of. Im getting together a photography company, if you can even call it that, with a friend of mine in philadelphia and we are going to do some wedding and possibly other events this summer. I've got the other photography job to do this summer too. neither of the jobs are what I would like to do but I'll be able to make some extra money. If things work out right I'll be back in school sooner rather than later. Its about time I finish up my degree, haha, Im only three classes away from my associates and then I can transfer and get the real work started.
As you can tell I've had lots of time to think while here in lancaster. I realized something rather scary. Im not sure if I've said this before in here or not but im not planning on staying in philadelphia forever. Chicago is in the lead right now but I'll wait until after this summer to really start thinking about it. but back to what I realized. I dont want a reason to stay. Thats why I gave up dating about a two years ago. I didnt want a reason to stay in Lancaster and now i dont want a reason to stay in philly.
