I've been thinking in the last few weeks that the ONE thing I didn't need in these few next months was a vehicular emergency.
My car was broken into AGAIN last night. Second time in less than a year. This time nothing was stolen (a good thing, since I just replaced the stereo from the last break-in only eight months ago), but the convertible top was slashed in two places, and effectively destroyed.
Fuck.
Filed police report and called insurance. My deductible for vandalism is $500, which is just about the cost of a new convertible top.
Fuck.
Probably I should just tape up the slashes for now and wait until after the move to replace it. By then we'll be out of downtown (and away from it's thieving scum) and have a lockable garage so this won't happen again.
