JOHN CHO IS IN THIS POST. P1

Nov 06, 2009 14:35

The rating system isn't necessarily about the quality of the episode, but the quality of the Cho within the episode. For example, I would've rated Star Trek:

3.5/5 Chos

What's there of him is great, but if you walked into the theater just for Cho scenes, you might come out a little sad at how little screen time he had.

The Air I Breathe

I almost didn't download this one, he doesn't even have a name, just "Banker 3." But I'm glad I did, he wears a suit and he swears a lot and he's a total asshole! I like watching him play an asshole because it looks like he has so much fun doing it!

I stopped watching this pretty fast, it looks cripplingly depressing.

Grey's Anatomy

There's not much of him, but what there is, is awesome. I don't want to spoil the episode, but watching him break down was probably one of my favorite performances of his -- I saw one of the last scenes of this episode in passing before I was even interested in him, and it stuck with me for ages.

House, MD

Watch this after watching Grey's, because the difference will make you lol, esp because House is supposed to be the more seriousbusiness of the two.

In this episode, he guest stars as a sub in a D/s relationship. I feel like they wanted to give this role some respect, but just couldn't get over wanting to make it comic relief/shock value, so it kind of stumbles in this in-between, muggy, pathetic/sad area. Cho plays it totally straight, which I appreciate. They just didn't give him much to be straight with. Jesse Spencer is so fucking pretty you guys.

Better Luck Tomorrow (700mb) OR 1 2 3 (1.7 GB, awesome quality for caps, etc. Rejoin with hjsplit)

Cho plays a poor little rich boy obsessed with "breaking the cycle" of his life. He gets in over his head. It is heartbreaking, and it is awesome, and it is a must watch, unless you are me and can't stand watching characters you like get Bad Ends. :[

Charmed

So he plays this guy named Mark who died and he needs the help of Piper to not be sent to hell. In the end, he gets sent of to heaven or whatever, and Prue learns a lesson about birthdays.

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

I did not like this movie. You are only allowed to do FOUR awkward pauses ending with an awkward laugh in any movie, like, ever. This had them back to back to back. And Cho was only in it for a second. But he made great faces while he was there so that made up for it, ~I suppose~

Felicity

He's on screen twice for the comedic, B-storyline for this episode. He plays a college kid whose roommate, Larry, is sleep-talking about murdering him. It was left unresolved: the last we hear about this is that Larry has started to buy knives and is hiding them in their room. As a viewer, I have to say I was not satisfied.

Kim Possible

I usually love it when my favorite actors do voice work, but in this case it was just really bizarre. He did the entire episode with a George Takei impersonation. I actually went to the official Disney website just to make sure that it was actually John Cho because. It's totally a George Takei impersonation. The entire time. And it's like, he plays a high school student. Who is George Takei? I guess?

How I Met Your Mother

He plays a slick, evil business man disguised as a hipster. It ignited my panties you guys.

American Dad

I'm not going to give words, just pictures:

But, he doesn't do the Takei impression this time. Which just makes the fact that he did it before even weirder? I guess? idk.

Til Death Do Us Part

He's only in it for a second, but oh man it did please me, as an Off Centre fan, to see Chau and Mike in the same room again :*)

Static Shock 1x11
1x13

In the first episode, he plays a student pressured to get good grades by his father who is unaware of the fact that he turns into a gigantic purple monster when frustrated. In the second episode he crashes a boat!

Delivering Milo

If you want to see more on this go here.

Smiley Face

John Cho comes in more than half-way to the end, his appearance is brief but charming. Oh also he kind of plays a creeper which was different for him.

Evolution

This one did not pay off like Air I Breathe, sadly. He plays "student."

Oh, and of course, I uploaded Kitchen Confidential and Off Centre ages ago, here. They are both
