In the aftermath of the ball in Salisbury I am reminded that it has been a couple of years now since I have hosted an event - the last one being the first Salisbury Ball (the one with the horse and carriages). So planning the for the future I thought I'd ask a few questions about what people are looking for. Firstly I want to point out my aims in this. I run events as parties that I want to go to - I do not make a profit, I aim to break even and to throw as fabulous event as I can.
I hope you don't object to the financially focussed aspect of some of these questions but in a non profit event one of the hardest things is gauging what you can put on and what people will buy tickets for, what interests people, and what puts them off.
I'm not sure when I will be able to host my next event - but if you can answer this and pass it on to others I can do my best to make it something unique and special.
