A Red Carpet Affair

So i was looking at my Star Wars "Art of" books as i was packing. And i just really love the costume designs... Dermot Power and Ian McCaig *love*. Anyways... I got into the mood to draw pretty dresses... And actually some of Padme's designs made me think of dress robes and the yule ball. I always wonder how dress robes are different from regular formal dresses, and always wanted to design some... so voila.

They didn't turn out very dress robey though... still pretty much just regular formals, maybe with a bit more flavor. under the cut... I did the dates of the champions as well as Fleur...

Cho: The basic cut of her dress is pretty much stolen from the Star Wars book. Though i did change some things. But yes. not really all mine.

Fleur: Again, the basic cut is from Star Wars *hides.* But i did change more on this one, so that is an improvement... Maybe a bit to revealing for a school dance, but she is the oldest of them... or so i rationalize.

Parvati: My own. It was two piece, but she looked to much like a belly dancer, and i don't think McGonagall would stand for that.
interesting fact: Parvati is actually pronounced "par-vuh-thi"- or so my Indian friend tells me. Her middle name is Parvati, so i took her word for it.

And Hermione: My least favorite. *sigh* Her position is all funky and i decided i don't like the bat wings after all... perhaps next time.

So yes. That's all. They all kind of look much older than they actually are in the book. So maybe this is several year later. But i just liked drawing the dress. I'll probably do some more. Or color these. Or something.
