People ain't all bad

So I just spent 20 minutes standing next to my car in the middle lane of a fairly busy intersection. I was just pulling out of Micky-Dees when my car died. Again. I just paid $200 so that this wouldn't happen again, but apparently fixed only part (if any) of the real problem. So there I am, in direct 95+ degree sun eating a celebratory Big Mac off the roof of my car watching people go by. While wearing black. But I wasn't there for more than seven or eight minutes when a lady stopped next to my car and offered to call someone for me. I told her no thanks, that I just needed to wait for the engine to drain and I'd be fine, but it's nice of her to offer. I hear all those stories about people who walk past or over someone dying in a parking lot, but just when I think people all suck something like this happens.

And sure enough, after finishing my McNasties I turn the key and the car comes alive. I think it's just idling too low, and forgets how to stay on. I'm afraid to drive it now, though, because it has this habit of dying WHILE MOVING.

Why a celebratory Big Mac, you ask out of the blue? Oh, that would be for TURNING IN MY DISSERTATION TODAY! Whew! The long haul is almost over and I can maybe get me a new or new/used car soon.
