(no subject)
Day 4: Finally thursday, finally I would be going to HOBBITON!!! As Craig had a job to do in Hamilton he gave me a ride down to Matamata (about 2 hours from Auckland) and drove me to the Alexander Farm up in the hills where they filmed "Lord of the Rings". Funny enough I was the only person there..no one else had turned up yet..haha so I had a long chat with the lady working there and finally the 10 other people turned up and we started our tour. Hobbiton is on a working sheep farm with 13.000 sheep and to get to the movie set you have to go on a 15 minutes drive through beautiful farm land...you get out of the car and there it is right in front of you: Hobbiton, the hobbit holes, the party tree, the lake...still there :-) What can I say? I think it is easiest if you go and have a look at the pictures...after the tour we got to feed baby lambs with a bottle..so cute..
Day 5: Good Friday, public holiday...and a very late one for us as we had a big party at Craig's house the night before..ooooh to much wine from New Zealand haha..however I went into downtown Auckland to meet up with an actor friend who's also an actor in "Lord of the Rings"...(PLEASE NOTE: as this site is open to public and everyone can read it: in respect of his privacy I cannot post this person's name or pictures here. If you keep reading you will understand why). We met at Aotea Square and went to his favourte japanese restaurant where I disgraced myself because I found it very hard to eat with chop sticks ;-) However we had a nice lunch and when we were talking about me going down to Wellington he told me he's driving down to Wellington on sunday anyway and if i want to he'll give me a ride and he'll take me on a little New Zealand tour on the way down"...I think you know what my answer was :-D.
Day 6: Saturday...hm..Craig and me were driving around in and out of Auckland..going to some little beaches (Auckland is full of beaches..every little part has its own beach)..went to Jamie's house and jumped into his swimming-pool..ate some strange fruits (I haven't even heard that name before..it's a nz fruit)...went into Takapuna for dinner...enjoyed the sunny day and went to a bar in Albany with some friends..all very chilled out (exactly what I needed).3
