I admit I was (still am) a bit hesitant to follow this route, since this is the "darkest" thing I've ever written. But be sure there is a reason behind this twist, and this might be the beginning of the Broke's path to discover the truth behind Cosmo and Olive's relationship, for example.
I don't think I'll repeat an update as sad as this one. Or go with darker themes, for it's really not my style. But it was needed just this time :S.
The guys who saved Tom are not the same ones that attacked him. They are actually two enemy bands. If you look closely at the pics of Tommy's memories there is a very obvious clue about the identity of one of his saviors.
Buck and Rosie never stopped being friends, despite everything. It seems a bit easy the way they came back together, but before that there were two years in which they both reflected about their relationship. And the horrible murder was a wake up call for Buck, and he realized that when he was talking to the reporter.
(I might develop their story a bit more later. That's the problem with a legacy, because time never stops and I need to focus on one family at a time)
Thanks for reading and the comments! (For the memory pics, I followed a Photoshop tutorial, because I had no idea how to get that effect until today :) ).
Oh I would hope not that you won't stay with this dark tone for the rest of the legacy, I like your style too, but it was a nice twist to keep things going. I also figured it may help with the whole Olive/Cosmo truth. :D
Yeah, I noticed that they where two different aliens, the one that attacked and the one that resuced. I just lumped them into one because I was so tired last night while reading.
I liked that Buck and Rosie got back together and you're right two years and a MAJOR wakeup call is more than enough to make someone realize, " I love them too much to be away from them"
SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT UPDATE!!
WAIT! I just looked back and I think that it was Hobbes?! That saved Tommy? Aww.
Well, sometimes you need to do a "bad" things to your characters to keep things moving. I guess that's the reason there are so many "Random Scenarios" and "Disaster Generators" are there for sim players, to break the monotony in their games.
I've often played with the idea of using one of those in another legacy or story, though. For the Brokes, I have figured out what'll happen more or less until Gen 7. The rest is still a mystery to me! :D
(Yup, Hobbes saved Tommy. ANd because I can't keep my mouth shut, I'll remind you that he was expelled from the Pollination Tech team back when he helped Calvin and Ripp escape, so he's obviously part of a new alien team. Of course, the other members of the team and their mission will be revealed later)
Oohhh! I never heard of the Random Scenarios or Disaster Generators. I may need to look into that since my sims are pretty content... well, they where until I got ACR so that helped with the monotony of my game. Before ACR the Bellagio's where pretty much perma plat because I can't not NOT tell them what to do. I'm working on it though.
Ohh! New characters! I love it. I want to know what Hobbes super secret squirrel (military lingo) missions are now! :D Please, don't shut up!
There are many more, for sure, but reading these gave me a few ideas for the next time I plan to be mean to my sims :P
Well, these characters are new in this legacy, but they are far from brand new (and you got a glimpse of them in this update too!). Hee, no more spoilers! :D

This one is pretty neat, it's too bad her blog no longer exists.

I normally don't have a story for my sims but I'm willing to do so for Riverdale. Mostly I just like to play and see what they do on their own.
No more spoilers?! Pooh. Guess I'll just rack my brain with anticipation.
