So what's going on with me?

First of all, the kittens are on their way to becoming cats. They've basically doubled in size since we first got them, and are probably now too big for their first scratching post. They've now got another one, a three-story monstrosity that includes a hidey hole.

They enjoy, and are currently, wrestling each other reasonably seriously. They are still virtually identical, the one attempt to give them collars being written off as a failure after they spent half-an-hour trying to pull their collars off.

Also high on their list of things they like to do is running back and forth on my bookcase. Occasionally knocking half the carefully-alphabetically-ordered books out of whack. Still, they are furry charm.

First visit to the vet this coming thursday. Will see what that does to them...

Also currently doing a play - "Breaker Morant", which some people may recognise from the 1980 film version with Edward Woodward, Jack Thompson and Bryan Brown, about three Australian soldiers who were accused of shooting prisoners of war in the Boer War. I'm playing the youngest of the three (Lt. George Whitton), who was in his mid twenties when this took place - to make me look less like my 38 years, I'm currently beardless. Yes, I'm aware to a certain subculture, this is equivalent to saying "I've dropped everything that is attractive about me", but ... well, a twenty-something with a greying beard would look odd.

It's a small role, but there's three good scenes, no bad ones, and I'm working with performers and a director I respect a lot. So I'm very much enjoying it.
