I told myself that I wasn't going to gripe about traffic stats today, but, here I am. No views at all today?? Is my summary terrible? Should I rewrite it? I refuse to believe that the lack of interest is due to solely to shippers waiting around for the action to start - because how will they know when that will be, unless they read in the first place?
I don't understand the divisions in this community - so many people will only read Hei/Misaki, or only Hei/Yin, etc. Because I'm the complete opposite - if it's written well, I'll read it, because the author can make me believe it. I get so tired of all the Hei/Misaki fluff pieces that everyone seems to love, because it's just the same damn contrived plot over and over again. Do something different, people! So I guess it's just weird to me that when a different sort of story pops up, no one wants to read it. Because it's the first thing that I'd click on. I can understand not favoriting and not reviewing, especially so early, but not even reading?
/end rant.
In more tasty news, last night I made teriyaki shiitake mushrooms and a (not)pickled cucumber salad for lunch today, which was amazingly good. But I ate all the mushrooms (half last night, the other half today - mm, so good), and accidentally dumped 90% of the cucumber salad into a dirty pan that was soaking in the sink. Ew.
So tonight I picked up some more mushrooms - one box of super-expensive fresh, and one bag of cheap dried. Because I wanted to compare them - if the cheap taste just as good, well, I'm going cheap! ...but I didn't read the instructions on the package and put them right into the frying pan without soaking them first. Turns out, that's a good way to burn mushrooms and set your stove on fire. Whoops.
My cucumber slices are still soaking in lime juice - fingers crossed that I don't accidentally dump this batch as well...
