Yesterday I managed to find and snag the lone copy of Jeff Lynn's "Mr. Blue Sky" at the record store and I have to say I have been really enjoying the album. What Jeff Lynne has done is revisit his best songs from ELO and tweaked them, making them fresh without losing what we loved about them. I have actually to really listen through the album from one end to the other in one sitting, but it makes me tingle hearing what he has done to my favorites. Don't Bring Me Down now makes me want to pick up a guitar and jam along to it and he has managed to put a little extra push into all the songs. The one I have been saving to listen to is the previously unreleased "Point of No Return", which should be good. Jeff Lynne didn't wait for some boy group to get his songs and butcher them, he redid them himself and did them right!
