If you subscribe to TSR, Habitat43, and Rose, among others, your personal info may be shared. Yes, this is a crime.
It started with Pavs
posting at SimsCave about a threat from Sasilia to share their information. This happened after Pavs had posted complaining that people didn't get their money's worth from Habitat43 because of the site being down, and when they changed from a subscription-based site to a pay-per-piece site; the subscribers didn't get anything out of this and were expected to pay for the other pieces. After Pavs posted, Sasilia alledgedly sent this email:
Hi my dear,
I would strongly recommend you not to do what you wrote otherwise we will send out your datas to paypal and all our greedy paysite-friends.
If you look around our site you will see that not every set costs 3,50. And don’t worry about the other subscribers - they got their money refunded today ;-)
Have a nice evening,
Sasi
It also made it to the
ARR! forum of PMBD basically the same thing until
page 3 where coconut posts:
Both Habitat and TSR are no strangers to sharing paypal info. In fact they have ongoing threads in the TSR forum sharing real names, usernames and Emails gained from paypal info, These threads are viewable to all staff and all FA's, I'll leave you to do the math on how many people have access to this very long thread, then add to that the amount of people Atwa told and continues to tell.
Here are some screens of just a small portion of people named by Tom, Birgit and Sasi, I have blurred out surnames and emails, but left enough info so that someone can inform them of their privacy breech. I will send the unblurred screens to Hecubus, and ask her if she would provide these screens to any of the people named in the event they want to take it up with paypal or EA games.
Link above has links to pics at Imageshack.
Nouk also posted
a thread at GoS, in which Aikea Guinea, former FA, confirms coconut's validity:
That thread is for real; I remember seeing it 'live.' Honestly, I didn't mention it because I completely forgot about it until now.
So, not only are kudos lotteries rigged, but your information is also shared. Subscribers beware.
