Writing a to-do list peasant007 January 8 2010, 06:44:37 UTC
Mary tapped her pen idly upon the list she had written in her day planner as she thought about what to add to the list of things she needed to do that day.

*Call Eden’s agent
*Bubble Den-order more bubble stock
*Go to grocery store-pick up more cheese
*Eden-Voice coaching
*Round Table-Order more Twilight books-Ask about possible bulk discount
*Eden-Dance Practice
*Call Miles
*Call Zane
*Work on novel

Everything seemed to be in order except for one thing. Mary chewed on the end of her pen as she thought about what she really wanted to add to the list. When she realized what she was doing, she quickly pulled the pen out and she wiped her mouth to make sure that no ink had gotten on her lips. She sighed, then nodded firmly to herself and squeezed in two lines at the top of her list.

*Go to bank
*Go to Gypsy Matchmaker

Hands shaking, she slammed her planner shut. “Well, it’s on my list, so of course it needs to be done. One must always abide by a well planned list,” she justified to herself ( ... )

Hehe, I loved this, and yes, if it's on the list then it needs to be done.

Nice drabble! Sometimes I can relate to Mary and the need to get everything done perfectly, so I liked seeing something from her perspective. :)

Hmm. Ominous! Though not as terrifying as "Order more Twilight books, ask for possible bulk discount."

Cuddling with your spouse dicreasy January 8 2010, 22:05:59 UTC
Edward Legacy lay in the big iron framed bed, listening to the rain beating on the window, his wife snuggled up against his shoulder.

He would never get used to this, he decided, never. Cuddling after woohoo was a whole new experience for him, heck any sort of affectionate physical contact was new to him. Marielle had always turned her back on him straight after, and become irritated with him whenever he had tried to touch her or hold her close, no matter what the situation. Carmen was the opposite, she seemed to crave being close to him, delighted in his touch and was just as affectionate in return. He had lost count of the number of times she had greeted him with a kiss as he had walked into a room she was already in, and hoped it would long continue.

Carmen stirred and started kissing his chest, muttering "I love you, I love you" between kisses, each kiss slightly lower than the last.

No, he'd never get used to this at all.

My characters really wanted to talk in this one, so I let them--spoilers, exceeding comment limits, and everything. So my response is at my journal: "Are you sure you want to start with omelettes? Maybe you should try something a little easier this time...."
