Mar 14, 2012 10:37

Hello everyone!  I'm not participating in SimStoCreMo this year, because I'm still slogging my way through the rebuild of doom (so close to being done with setting the new hood up, sooooooo close) and am not in any position to start on the next set of chapters, but when I was asked to give a pep talk to gee you all on, I readily agreed.  So sit ( Read more... )

Hah! Last night I decided to change some things just to get some progress on the plate. Reading that last bit you wrote, I think I might have been tapping into your thoughts somehow. ;D Now if I could just tap into your talent!

Excellent talk, Di! Bethany is probably a bit worse off than any of us in that she's got a publishing deadline to make. We at least have the leisure of setting our own deadlines, or not setting them at all! Like you said, this is supposed to be fun and we should first approach it as such.

Okay, I've got stuff to film today! *poofs in a cloud of glitter*

Hee, I'm glad it rings true then. I do think that it's a healthy thing to rethink what you're doing and adjust as necessary. Pfft, you have more than enough of your own, you don't need any of mine.

She really is, and although there is a deadline of a kind with CreMo, if you're not done with your goal by the end of March, it's not the end of the world at all, you can just continue on. And yes, this is meant to be fun, and if that means resetting your goals, or taking an extended break from the game, then that is what you have to do.

Poor Bethy, but yay for Ezra helping! Taking breaks and readjusting is definitely of the good. *nods*

Ezra will definitely be a great help to her, and I totally agree. Breaks and readjusting goals can greatly reduce stress.

*squeee Bethany and Ezra!* Such a good way to put it though, I've been feeling exactly like that this week.

Taking breaks is good, even if it's just to take our eyes away from a screen for a bit and relax. :)

Great talk Di! :D

thank you, I hope it helps you and yeah, I had a feeling that at this point, there would be a few people feeling overwhelmed.

I completely agree. Taking breaks allow us to relax and our brains to reboot.

I'm only watching this year, since I'm not in the position to write my next chapter at this time, but all the same, that is excellent advice! *nods* Also, poor Bethany, but glad Ezra is helping her out. *pats Bethany*

*nodnod* It's nice to be able to cheer people on, even if you're not participating, and I'm glad you like the advice.

Bethany is very lucky to have Ezra. :D

It's such good advice and it was actually really welcome at this stage for me. Thank you. :)

Thank you, I'm glad it's of help to people. I had an inkling that halfway through the month would be when people start to feel overwhelmed with what they still have left to achieve for their goal. You're welcome. :D
