The Sims' Next Top Model: Prologue

Jun 12, 2007 21:11

The search is over.
Sim Nation has been looking all over the country.  Where was she?  Where was she, the girl every woman dreamed to resemble?  Where was she, the fine spirit who inspired little girls?  Where was she, the woman whose face would bring joy to all?
Where was she, the artist, the photographer's muse?

One woman set out to find her.  One woman set out to find a legend.

Now eight girls will compete for that title.  Out of these eight young women, only one will become

The Sims' Next Top Model

And now, please welcome your host, Elizabeth Randall!

Elizabeth Randall is probably the most qualified to embark on the quest to find Sim Nation's Next Top Model.   For more than 15 years now, Elizabeth has worked with the most renowned photographers...

...given some of the sexiest shots of the century...

...and has set trends that still live on today.

But Elizabeth isn't alone on this quest.  She will be joined by a panel of experts, who are all linked to the fashion industry in one way or another.

Our first judge is Joanna Bukowski.

Joanna is the editor in chief of the Chicca magazine, and has been in fashion journalism for over 30 years.  She was also a model in her youth, and was credited for a new style of modelling called non-posing, in which she favored natural shots.

Then we meet Oliver Saunders.

Oliver has worked with many top models as a coach, including Elizabeth Randall herself.  He also created his own line of clothing for men, "Velocity".  In this competition, however, Oliver only acts as a judge, and will not be coaching them on their modelling.

Our last judge is Martin Schwartz.

Mr. Schwartz is at the head of one of the biggest modelling agencies in Sim Nation, Fire Modelling.  It is said that any model who is personally selected by Mr. Schwartz is sure to been seen on every runway and in every magazine there is.  In addition to his participation as a judge, Martin Schwartz also offers a one-year modelling contract with his agency.

Other prizes include 25,000 simoleons, a cover and a four-page spread in Chicca and a 50,000 simoleon-contract with Blue cosmetics.

Who will win the grand prize?  Who will be crowned The SIms' Next Top Model?
Without further ado, here are the contestants:

Let us meet the contestants...

Caroline 'Corona' Mercer
Age: 22
Occupation: Art student

"I believe that modelling requires a sensitivity that only an artist can have.  You have to be in tune with your emotions, and become a channel that will make the photo look alive and real.  I want to inspire photographers, and to see me as a work of art, more than as a pretty girl."

Stephanie Morris
Age: 19
Occupation: Gardener

"I've lived on a farm all my life, and people kept telling me that I had an interesting face, or that I had the right height to be a model.  But I never actually thought about it until one of my friends told me about The Sims' Next Top Model.  I didn't think I could make it.  I had never read a fashion magazine in my entire life!  But then they phoned me and I was like, 'Oh my God!'  This is really a new beginning for me."

Silk Donahue
Age: 21
Occupation: Actress/Model

"My mom is Denise Donahue.  She was around before Elizabeth Randall was even beginning to do runway.  She knows Martin Schwartz and Joanna Bukowski and all these people.  If these bitches think they can beat me, they'd better think twice.  I know this world.  I know how it works."

Sakura Ichiko
Age: 18
Occupation: Psychology student

"My name is Ichiko Sakura.  I am an exchange student from Osaka, Japan.  I do not plan to become a Top Model but my friends said I should try.  I hope the girls are lovely.  I want to make new friends."

Naomi Regan
Age: 18
Occupation: Fashion design student

"When people see me in the streets, they either think I'm a drug addict or a weirdo with too much make up.  But the truth is... I am ill.  I have AIDS.  I got a blood transfer when I was 11 and it turned out to be contaminated.  Being a model has always been my dream.  I don't want to die.  I want to be a winner and be remembered."

Ferris Smith
Age: 25
Occupation: Exotic Dancer

"Being an exotic dancer isn't as scandalous as it seems.  It's actually a lot of fun.  People get to see me for who I am, and how sexy I really am.  I can be myself inside and out and I get paid for it.  And this is what I want to show to these prudish models out there.  That a woman can be sexy and that she should be proud everytime she's nude."

Dawn Gray
Age: 23
Occupation: Nurse

"I never wanted to be a model.  I can't even believe that I'm here.  I'm really a nurse but... Four years ago, I was in a car accident with my sister.  I was driving, and I was wearing my seatbelt, but she wasn't.   My sister died on the way to the hospital.  She had brain damage.  I want to become a model for her.  It was her dream. I hope I can achieve it for her."

Darrah Allen
Age: 22
Occupation: Bartender

"It's like a dream come true!  All my life I've been dreaming about red carpets and premieres and I was stuck serving beer in a crappy bar and... This is the life, man!  And I'm gonna make sure it stays that way."

So these are the eight girls who will compete.  This cycle promises to be a life-changing experience for all them.  Stay tuned next week to see who takes the fall when a surprising first photoshoot prompts both drama and collaboration...
