Crowdfunding effort to purchase J.R.R. Tolkien's House
Greetings fellow Tolkien aficionados -- A note to let you know that Ian McKellen, John Rhys-Davies, and Martin Freeman, and others have just put out a call to raise enough money to purchase J.R.R. Tolkien's 20 Northmoor Road House in Oxford before it goes on the market. They hope to convert it into a literary center in honor of Tolkien. It's called Project Northmoor.

Russandol and I actually visited that house back in 2013 when we went on a Tolkien pilgrimage that included his gravesite in Wolvercote and the Eagle and Child pub.
