I just finished reading Maximum Ride - The Angel Experiment by James Patterson.
The fuck. I haven't read anything so.. disjointed, cacophonic, unlinear, and... utterly moronic in years.
I want to hunt him down, tear out every page in this idiotic collection of words he calls a novel, and shove them down his throat while beating his head in with the cover.
As I've previously stated, this novel was touted to be THE novel, the one to get an entire generation of kids/tweens/young adults reading books again. While I commend the thought, this.. uh, certainly isn't the book to do it.
My biggest problem with what he writes is the fact that he doesn't describe anything. Places, actions, things. It's like.. it's a given that you already know what someone looks like, or where they are. And nothing's.. cohesive. A very, very annoying read, if not a fast one.
