He's just teasing :)

The main point of quotation is to dispel the notion, that being on the path of the warrior does not mean engaging into openly antisocial behavior, contrary to the popular belief, but merely to engage into internal transformations. Change in behavior must come as the result, not the cause, and will most likely be quite opposite to what is commonly associated with "warrior". In other words, enlisting into army as the result of reading CC, would merely constitute indulging.

To answer your statement - the war of the warrior is not to destroy the ego, or reasonable self, but instead to dethrone it - stop its domination. One should have both his/her parts equally balanced - silent self, nagual and the reason, tonal. In other words reason needs to acknowledge that there is a powerful portion of the self which it will never be able to figure out and control, and so it has to accept it and learn to just let go, when needed.

You would not really want to crucify the reason part of the self, as well as you can't really identify self with anything once you cross over into nagual, just like water can't identify self with Christ or anyone else. It's like, "We need to crucify our ego, and identify with The Great Don Juan The Stockholder!". Sounds silly, ain't it.

So there you have it - whole christian following is one huge tradition of self-indulging. Instead of just relaxing, enjoying life and letting their silent self gradually resurface and become part of their life, they engaged in church building, book writing, self-destruction and, again, mindless acts of wanton violence, totally disregarding the one they claimed to follow.
