What Motivates/Inspires You?
I was thinking about inspiration and motivation today. Two totally different things, but both are important in spades to a person's life.
My inspiration for writing comes from everything around me: environment, people I see, news. I take a little piece and let my imagination run wild. The result is the stuff I write.
My motivation is complex. Personal satisfaction, pride, stubbornness, a hope to make this into a career rather than a 9-5 job, and knowing I've comforted lonely hearts and minds somewhere are important. Equally important is getting the characters to stop knocking around my head and to tell their story.
So - what motivates you? And what inspires you, in any part of life?
