YAY, someone else who understands the complete and utter awesomeness that is Deadwood! None of my friends watch it, and yet they are forced to sit and hear me marvel aloud after each new episode. God, it's so great. : D

Deadwood is like... SEE? There are no words!

It is just so fucking perfect. The dialogue is so dense, and you don't even get half of it, the musicality, until you've seen the episode 5 or 6 times.

There was this period about, oh, 3 months ago when a couple of my friends and I just walked Season 1 over and over and over again. We'd be having out at their house, and flip a disk in, and talk and watch for hours.

And then I'd get all swoony over Tricksie (sp?) and Al's pure, pure love and get glares for the next 20 minutes. hahahaha.

Oh, the dialogue. *swoons* The dialogue is so...I don't know...Shakespearean. And you're right, there's a rhythm and flow to it that just makes it beautiful. I mean, I never thought I'd watch a show where "cocksucker" would be beautiful!

And the acting. And the complex plots that are SMART and trust the viewers to be intelligent, and man, the acting again. It's one of those rare rare shows that I watch and don't even think about shipping the characters, because the writers and the actors are giving me enough material to work with right away. I do take great pleasure in the relationships shown, but I don't feel the need to change anything about them, you know?

It's annoying because I'm at college, so no HBO for me. I have to download every episode and there's no shiny community like go_pirates to help me out. Frustrating, but oh so worth it!

Yeah, I have to mooch off a close friend who has cable. It is the suck.

Luckily he and I both are hopelessly addicted to Deadwood, Carnivale, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, and previously (*sobs*) Dead Like Me. We also used to obsess over The L Word, but then. um. gack. The theme song alone this season sends me running.

It is true and weird for me that I don't have any real ships in Deadwood. It's like, there's nothing that I could ever think of that would be more interesting that what they come up with.

I. Hate. The. New. Theme. *fumes* I'm just sticking around for Dana/Alice and Shane. And when QaF is over I am so dumping Showtime for HBO. Showtime and me are over.
