summer

I have been thinking about this for a while now. My penmanship happens to be terrible, I can't write for more than an hour without feeling the need to stop and allow my poor right hand to rest. That is obviously not the case with typewriting.

Typewriting is so much more fun, you look at the computer screen and words just assemble before your eyes. Like magic. Anyway, I have been thinking about a journal (an on line one, because of said bad handwriting technique) for one and only purpose mainly and that is I've been on writer's block for years now. That has got to stop. I miss the characters in my stories, I miss dealing with word choices and shaping a story worth telling. I miss all of it and still I can't write anything. So I've been thinking that maybe I've just fallen out of habit and that maybe, if I start writing for the sake of writing, words, sentences and storytelling will just come back to me in time.

And this summer, while I'm busying myself with a paper on English Jacobean drama and learning to speak French properly, I will try and keep this journal updated. I remain confident that this is the best approach to my writer's block issue.
