♥ The Princess and the Hound - Mette Ivie Harrison
This is about a Prince called George and a Princess called Beatrice who are both able to talk to animals, a magic which is feared so they're both in danger of death (drama!) And they're made to marry (romance!)
♥ Magic Flutes - Eva Ibbotson
A Viennese princess working backstage and a rich earl or something falls in love with her; a similar premise to another of Eva Ibbotson's books (one of my ABSOLUTELY favourites) but she is such a wonderful author I don't doubt it will be amazing.
♥ Aurelia - Anne Osterland
Aurelia, the crown princess of Tyralt, wants control over her own life. Robert, her former classmate, wants Aurelia. And someone wants her dead. This one has got wonderful reviews and I love it already.
♥ To Catch A Pirate - Jade Parker
19th century Pirate girl, romance, IT'S ALL GOOD
♥ Sashenka - Simon Monterfiore
I am actually in the process of reading this, but I've put it down anyway. It is in three parts, revolving around Sashenka, a young Russian Bolshevik, whom I detest. The first part is the year before the Revolution, the second in the 1940s, and the third in the 1990s where some scholar is researching her and uncovers exciting secrets etc. It's so dark I have to read it a little at a time and it was a slow start, but it has wonderful historical detail.
♥ Glassblower of Murano - Marina Fiarato
A modern day glassblower moves back to the Venetian island, and there's drama with a rival family and I think many flashbacks to Renaissance Venice so I ALREADY LOVE THIS.
♥ Enchantress of Florence - Salman Rvshdie
Enchantress. Florence. Enough said.
♥ Gladiatrix - Russell Whitfield
I CANNOT SQUEE ENOUGH ABOUT MY LOVE FOR HISTORICALLY ACCURATE ROMAN BOOKS. I AM SO EXCITED TO READ THIS.
