Reaction
So, anyone who read my last post will know that I was not entirely pleased with how Vexen looked and sounded in the KHII Final Mix / Re:Chain of Memories trailer. At all.
Anyone who's ever really fangirled can probably imagine the disappointment when a character you like so much gets messed up so badly. I really want to believe I wasn't just wearing rose-tinted glasses when I first started liking Vexen; honestly, there are no such expressions among his original sprites.
And so, to overcome my own disappointment, I did this. Really, more therapy for my own sake than to spit venom at Square and expressing my displeasure in a scathingly acid and satirical yet artistic way.
I'm not bitter. No, really. -_-

That's supposed to be Tetsuya Nomura, there. And a random panel of Square-Enix decision-makers. And all the newly 3D-rendered CoM characters. Oh, and all my heartfelt cynicism and bitterness.
Ahh, hopefully it was just a bad moment... I will cling desperately to the hope he's cooler than this in the rest of the game. Ah, alas, my poor Vexen.
If not, I'll just have to become one of those bitter old-school fans who claims the original game is the only true version, and that the remake never happened. Ha, shallow shinies for the whippersnappers! In my day, Vexen had dignity! ... ... Er. Well. I guess he didn't, but that was because he was used and humiliated, not because he was badly animated. ^^;d
I'm going through a lot of trouble to import your game and give you my money, Square - don't disappoint me now. Hell hath no fury like a fangirl scorned. u.u
