DBZ tributes
A sketch and the PainterX colored version.
I've had another bout of serious DBZ nostalgia and I drew Piccolo last night. And besides the actual show, drawing him brought up cherished memories of the forth grade. I get a really wierd feeling. Because I used to draw Piccolo on the blackboard with long pieces of white chalk with the guys in the class that liked dbz. I got tips on how not to draw characters crossed-eyed. I remember I would erase my drawings quickly before the teacher came in.
I was never one to show off any drawings, cuz I was always embarressed. My drawings weren't that good and not everyone thought dbz was all that. Plus I disliked too much attention.
But I would always secretly glow with pride if Nick or Cody or Jake liked my dbz. They were the kids who were the dbz fanatics in the class. The memory is so fresh, haha I can't believe I remembered their names. (I can remember their faces too)
Anyway, I kind of want to do more tributes to other dbz characters in my own style. For shigs.
