I was thinking this week a bit about how I've been in Soul Eater fandom for a little more than two years now. It really has some serious staying power for me! And that's partly because I love the fandom. I don't think I could ever ragequit SE simply because talking about the series with other fans is too much fun.
But I have my pet peeves with the

1 and 3 are definitely among my biggest pet peeves, by far. It's one thing to debate and to prefer one sex for Crona over another, but it's entirely ridiculous to argue AS IF YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT CRONA'S GENDER IS. It really gets me irritated when people say that Crona's a girl because of that almost-nude panel (which. . . proves nothing other than Okubo's love for trolling the fans) etc.
And for the Liz and Patty thing, I hate it when people lump them together as one character, or as an inseparable unit. They are unique and should be treated as such. This fandom habit reminds me of my own experiences, since I have a twin sister. Most of my peers throughout my life have treated us as a unit, associating whatever she did or said to me and vice-versa. We were no different in their eyes just because we're identical. When twins finish each other's sentences or share hobbies, it's a "twin thing," but when two regular friends are in the same situation, it's not worth mentioning. And don't get me started on the Olsen twin thing; TV twin stereotypes are the bane of my existence. Because of this, I hate it when fandom treats Liz and Patty as a unit. I also hate the "Kid's guns" thing too; uh, they're people, right? Y'know, with feelings, motives, relevance, relationships, backstory, etc.
A pet peeve I would add is that the fandom can have an entitlement complex sometimes. They get collectively angry when scanlations/raws are available the moment they want them, and when a chapter is too short, they feel "cheated" (even in the aftermath of the earthquake/tsunami disaster, which is ridiculous).
Also, THAT ARTWORK WOULD MAKE A PERFECT COVER. I love the title too!
