Dogs and Biathlon

Have you ever watched biathlon?

I take that as a no.
A biathlon competition was on TV just now as I drank my cup of coffee for the day. It’s not really that interesting to watch. It was men’s biathlon competition.
Bergman had a lime green gun <3
There were three competitors named Beu, Boeuf and Beuhm [= Böö, Böf and Böhm]. I find it funny. They are from Sweden, France and Germany.
There was also a Russian guy called Shipulin. Sipuli is an onion in Finnish. Sipulin is “onion’s”, a genitive form. This onion man actually won today. I think I’m gonna cry.

…not funny even.

Moving on, today the dog magazine “Koiramme” arrived by mail. This issue has a list of the 100 most popular dog breeds in Finland 2010. Border collie was number 40. Toller was 39. The dog we had before this one was a Toller.
This issue also had pictures of ~200 most beautiful of their breed. They have this section in the magazine every year and as a kid I used to love it. I would look at all the different dog breeds and think of what kind of dog I want when I grow up.
The kinds of dogs I wanted:
Norwegian Lundehund
Pumi
Black-and-silver Miniature Schnauzer
Bull Terrier
Fawn Pug
Siberian Husky

Last time I went to a dog show, which I believe was in December 2009, I fell in love with Shiba Inu.
But really I haven’t looked at any descriptions, so I don’t know the characteristics of the different breeds listed here.
I would never want a Golden Retriever since all the ones I’ve seen have been really phlegmatic. I don’t really like Labradors either.
