Oh dear. This all started out with the best of intentions, but I have failed to fill these pages with regular updates. Bad me.
On the other hand, you should all have been getting Ruth's "Letter from America"....umm I mean "Gladstone News". If you haven't for some reason, then send me an email address and you will.
However, there is big news this week. Thesis returned! Distinction! Yay me! I am now,
f i n a l l y , a qualified engineer. Woohoo!
Work continues to go well. After running my first site job last week - tearing stuff apart at a power station or, more correctly, supervising people tearing stuff apart (but still getting covered in coal dust LOL)- I now get a slightly bigger job. Well, quite a bit bigger actually. My first official job as a project manager is overseeing the rebuild of some 50 foot diameter water filtration wheels. Should go OK. I hope ;)
Ruth is going well, settling in and enjoying her garden. Has started looking for work, and has much enjoyed hosting the guests we have had thus far. More please. :)
Must rush. Will try to be disciplined and write more soon.
