http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/nwherald/obituary.aspx?page=lifestory&pid=143617884 We knew she wasn't doing well; she probably had another 'mini-stroke' and was fevered, with an upper respiratory infection. :( Couldn't really eat.
Went to visit with Mom and saw how she was doing... went out and called Giles to bring the kids down, started other phone calls.
We got to say goodbye, at least. She wasn't really responsive but there were signs that she was listening and trying to respond, just didn't have the energy to get words out. *sigh*
She passed the next morning, just as Mom walked around the corner towards her room.
We're getting by, it's been rough though. Some unexpected issues came up. We're dealing, the kids are dealing okay.
Wake is tomorrow... burial on Monday. Been so crazily busy dealing with arrangements... and not sleeping well.
I'm going to my race today. I think I could use it at this point, just to wear my body out enough that my mind gets dragged along to sleep. I've been to the Fort every day this week since Monday.
There's worse ways to cope.
*hugs*
