i am so happy. i got the job at community bank. :)
my start date is november 25th. i will be part-time until the beginning of december, and after that i am going to be full-time for around a month for the extensive training i will be put through. after that i'll be back on part-time. i'm so relieved! i'll finally have some money coming in again! woohoo. it was weird, though, how i got the job. at least i think so. the office manager called me this morning around nine o'clock and said she had a question for me. which caught me off guard for two reasons: 1) i had just gotten out of bed and was still out of it.. lol, and 2) she told me she wanted someone to fill the position as soon as the 17th which was yesterday, so i figured i didn't get the job. well, she said she had called weis markets to talk to my previous manager, and she didn't give me a good recommendation. she didn't tell me what she said exactly, but i figured as such. she is a real bitch and she hates everyone. i knew she wouldn't/couldn't say anything nice about me, even though she knows i was a good worker. well anyways, cindy (the manager at weis) told her about my 3-month leave of absence but neglected to inform her exactly why that was. yeah, BITCH. she just wanted to make me look bad. so sharon (the office manager at the bank) asked me why exactly i took a leave of absence. i explained to her about my health issues and that i had orders from my doctor to take off for some extensive testing to find out once and for all what was wrong with me. i told her i am fine now; that i will always have heart problems but as long as i take my medicine i am perfectly fine. she said okay, that she would let me know her decision. well, i have to say, it didn't sound too promising. the way she was talking, well, it just didn't give me a good feeling.
soooooooo, i went over to my sister's for a visit and when i returned there was a message on the answering machine. it was her, and she wanted me to call her back asap. i did, of course, and she offered me the job. :) i couldn't believe she was actually offering it to me. i thought i had lost my chances. but, apparently she must've really liked me at the interview. or maybe she called pheaa and they actually gave me a good recommendation? if she called weis i'm sure she had to have called pheaa, being that it was my most recent job. so i have no clue. something was said that made her really like me! yayness! :D
