Not sure what people are complaining about here:
the drawing looks rather more sensitive and attractive than the actors. He could as easily be Edgar, the most loveable character in Wuthering Heights: the kind-hearted single parent who loves his library. I was never convinced that Darcy & co in Austenland really used their libraries for more than interior decor, with books bought by the yard (or, in Mr Bennett's case, as a den to hide from his wife): they don't really have inner lives or intellectual concerns, or seem capable of deep conversation.
But then,
I prefer a literary hero who not only has a lot of books, but also his own laboratory and can info-dump for France on NeoPlatonism, architectural symbolism, theurgy and alchemy…
