What can I say? I think I've acquired another historical toy-boy: intelligent, humorous, quite attractive (although I must admit to being a bit of a misopogon myself - have a shave, sonny: that beard may be very philosophical-looking, but it's far too ageing!) and tragic (died at 31 of peritonitis after being wounded in battle). His name's Flavius Claudius Julianus, aka 'the Philosopher'(though the Christians call him 'the Apostate' - as if that were a bad thing!), and his complete works are available free on archive.org:
