Before he became a High Priest, Ankhu had been a love-struck novice. And before that, he had been a boy who lost a beloved pet, Nedjem. When the woman who broke his heart returns to Thebes, Nedjem will lead him to a journey of closure, understanding, and facing demons - literally.
This is pretty much the main plot arc of my story "Make None to Weep" that recently sold to the Quiet Shelter There Anthology by Hadley Rille Books. The profits of the anthology will benefit the Friends of Homeless Animals shelter in Washington D.C.
This story originated from a LH FC and also received great feedback in an LH PC and OWW as well. Many thanks to everyone who helped this shape up! *purr*
