Pictorial Week
Not all the pictures are things that happened this week, necessarily, but most of them are. The script is yiddish, and translated means "Life is bitter but the song is sweet." I have a block letter version of it from my Yiddish Cultural Expressions class, and decided to write it here...except I didn't know how to write the letters, so I looked up the script letters and did those. I *think* I identified all of the letters correctly. There was one that was tripping me up, but I'm pretty sure it was resh, not either of the two similar-looking letters.
I'm probably breaking some rule by combining the Star of David with the UU Chalice, but meh. It's meant to show where I feel like I am religiously right now, not which religion I belong to. It's a...transition symbol.
