I thought people in small towns were supposed to be super friendly. People seem to guard their privacy and just not as friendly in Yuma. I'm used to in CA how people seem a little friendlier. I just wonder why that is though? Well thru summer so far, it's been too hot to go outside much. Temperatures are generally 115 to 120. Sun pounding down is hard on your body and it would be too harsh for Katie. So we wait till the sun goes down to go play outside. What's odd is that there's been lightning at night but no rain that i could see. Or maybe it evaporated super quick. I miss seeing rain. i like the dewy, crisp look it gives to plants and flowers. The sun is harsh on my plants. Just hoping for the hot sun to mellow out. We have A/c so it's not that big of a deal. But it's boring sometimes just being cooped up in the house. But if I were visiting my parents house; it'd be hot. They have no AC, no plans to get it, and no plans to ever have a bill slightly higher on account of it. Winter time we'd just pile on more blankets, so that heater has never been used lol. As for my plans for tonight; my night will consist of reading to Katie, possible bike ride with her, cooking Chicken a la King, ironing James work clothes, giving the baby a bath, watching cooking shows with her or watching Toy Story 2 again (rented)or me reading something or other. Might shower as well. Takes a bit to be a girl, well grooming wise. Eventually I need to dye my hair. I so need to shave my legs and do my eyebrows. I buffed, shined and polished my nails. they look alright. Not salon manicure and pedicure good but out here it costs more to do it. So it goes back on my list of stuff I wanna do while I'm in San Diego. Also early this morning i went to the gym and read some article on Kelly Ripa (so cute and funny). So I did the gym. Awhile ago Katie and i went to Marshall's and i got a pair of Steve Madden sunglasses, some biscotti cookies and a barbie fairy doll with horse for Katie. On the way back I planned to stop by and herbal/essential oils/accupuncture place. But I guess she's closed till august 1st. the reason I was going to go was because i thought I could maybe get something for a sluggish thyroid. Which i'm thinking I may have. I fit the symptoms and I do consume a lot of soda. I guess sugar is supposed to hinder the balance of the thyroid. And so I'm hoping I can take some herbs or teas or something for it. I'd rather go natural before taking medical drugs. Natural is easy to process but manmade is like plastic to your body. I do what I can. And I do drink way less soda then what i'm used to. Little things to make changes in my diet. I think sometimes i'm bored and I snack. But if I do I try to eat apples, 1oo calorie cookies or crackers so that i know how much i'm consuming. I could never be anorexic because i love good food and cooking but I'm amazed at their willpower.
