Between the most recent episode of Star Wars Rebels and the sheer magic that was Rogue One on 3D IMAX, I am having a lot of Star Wars feels.
Without spoiling anything, I told Andrew (home with his end of the family while I'm with mine, post monkey-filled cruise) that the two paired very interestingly. I am SO ready for the next new ep of Rebels next month!! Come at me, Filoni.
Last month, I finally got my hands on a copy of Dark Disciple and read the whole thing while flying home from Thanksgiving break. I'm not happy about how a certain death was handled. On the other hand, I'm still 100% satisfied with the new canon continuity for my long-time #1 favorite Jedi, Quinlan Vos. That crazypants.
In non Star Wars "news", which dates back to September, I got second place in the Kingdom Protector tourney, which means I'm sort of the #2 archer in the PNW, at least by the standards of the big show. My scores in the target rounds ranked me at #1 and #2, and my box tourney rounds were very 'meh' (to be fair, it was only my second time ever doing that and my first KP competition, and heck... Box tourneys are very different from combat archery in wars, which is the thing I'm actually good at), but it was enough to get me into the top four. I won my semi-final, and then lost in the finals.
Got some street cred! Made my archery dad super proud! And I feel like a badass and am happy I practiced my target shooting stupid a lot the month before because I didn't embarrass myself :)
