AC en France!! (Et aussi, un peu de Gambit)

Lots of various fandom-y things to report on today, as I do my lazy Saturday pop culture catch up with a few favorite blogs.

1) NEXT Assassin's Creed will be "Unity", and takes place in Paris during the French Revolution!  YES!  SO MANY BUILDINGS TO CLIMB!!!!  And I already know a few neighborhoods in Paris fairly well, so it will be fun to "go" there in a video game.  I kind of hope we get a mission in the catacombs... I mean, what's Paris without catacombs??

I'm about halfway through Liberation, which I love so very much.  Overall, it's no AC2, but in terms of Ubisoft hitting on Things I Like, I very specifically like running around NOLA as my Queen Aveline.  Love it.  Have wasted many many hours wandering the streets and petting dogs.

With my B-Day coming and going, I have a copy of Black Flag, and I will give the new naval system the ol' college try after I am finally done with AC:L.  Looking forward to my Welsh protagonist and shanties and history things.

2) Is this like... Animal Crossing mixed with Disney?  Kingdom Animal Crossing Hearts or something?  Could be ok if I get to be BFFs with Mulan....  Of course, I'd need a 3DS, and I'm way too miserly to shell out for a new system.

3)  And in other NOLA news, I just read that Gambit and (young) Nightcrawler could be in the next X-Men movie.
*sigh*
Taylor Kitsch wasn't bad.  Really wasn't bad amidst a bad bad movie, which admittedly, has the BAD of "Deadpool" looking over a multitude of lesser evils.  Debacle.
So I'll just hold on to my perfect world casting of a younger Josh Holloway as Gambit.  I even saw an inspired idea floating around on the internet making a case for having Francois Arnaud!  That's a GREAT idea.  He was so so good in The Borgias, and my favorite two Gambits are Canadian, so A+ to that.

And otherwise, it's a good lazy Saturday with Skype D&D, and gearing up to drive to Boise on Sunday for a week-long business meeting.
