Spring Surprises

Mar 28, 2010 09:40

I've been pretty busy with school (of course).  I think I'm doing well.  So far I have an A in spanish, and I'm thinking that I'm doing really well in Writing Process and Practice and Creative Writing.  Caribbean Lit I'm not so sure.  I really dislike the teacher.  She's very aggressive in class discussions and I have never willingly made an effort to contribute to class discussion in her class.  I blame her.  Totally.  (alright, I'm super shy, but she terrifies me)  I got a B on her paper, which was good I guess.  I spent an hour discussing it with her and had no idea what she was trying to get me to see...  Anyways....  My spring break was pretty busy too.  I went and saw Wicked (which was AWESOME) and then I went to Shamrock the Block with some friends from work (which was lame so we ended up hanging out with some other friends)...  and then Monday through Wed was consumed with family visits etc.  Then catching up on homework...  Anyways, it was fun. (except the homework part).  There are only six weeks left of class (yay!) and I need to schedule for summer classes (boo!)

Now that its Spring, I'm getting all sorts of surprises.  Theres a whole bunch of flowers growing in the corner of our backyard, and the dead vining flowers that I cut down weren't really dead but sleeping and they're coming back.  The flowers that were in the front flowerbed are coming up again and I have a flowering tree which is something I've always wanted.  So, I'm going to go out front, put down the weed barrier and plant my hyacinths and cover everything with mulch so it'll be pretty.  Then I'll pull the monkey grass back to where its supposed to be... I really hope my azaleas come back pretty after I massacred them.

Tonight I have my writing group.  I need to print out their stories and critique them and then print out the stories for my creative writing class and start writing my own story and bath the dog and wash some clothes and maybe clean up some so I can take pictures of the house to put up on facebook for all the family that hasn't seen them and do my spanish homework on line and writing my weekly writing response and all sorts of things.  So... 9:39.... here I go.  You know, drinking a cup of tea in the morning really does make me want to get going.  I need to do that more often!
