I've been ever so busy. Work and college are running me ragged. I've told my boss that I'm going to cut back my hours, so I'll be working 8 to 12 again. That is a great relief to me. I think I'm doing pretty well in my classes. I've gotten B's or A's on most of my papers. That would exclude the latest paper that I turned in, in which I replaced the name of John Bunyan with Paul Bunyan throughout. Yeah... that's what you get when you write your paper at 11:00 the day before its due. So, other than that.... I've scheduled classes for next semester. And I bought a parking pass! No more bus! (I'm sorry environment...) I have come to realize there are certain types of bus drivers. Here's a break down:
There are the fast brakers: these bus drivers find it impossible to come to a slow and steady stop, no matter how much advance warning they are given about upcoming stops.
There are the risk takers: these bus drivers are the ones who pull out in oncoming traffic, merge into lanes with vehicles, and nearly collide with other buses.
There is the constant accelerator: This bus driver alternately presses down, and then lets up, the gas pedal while they try to maintain a certain speed. This creates a constant back and forward motion during the trip, causing nausea and dizziness.
There are the friend makers: these bus drivers talk and laugh with the person sitting in the front seat and seem unaware that there are other occupants who need to get off. These occupants then become "irate" occupants when the driver passes their stop.
There are the bad stoppers: These drivers stop the bus, not where the sign is at, but rather somewhere around abouts, usually in a spot where you have walk around obstacles or through puddles.
There are the late drivers: These one's can never seem to be on time. You will see them come down the other side of the road just 3 minutes before the bus that runs 25 minutes after. This means you have already been waiting for 15 minutes, and you now have another 20 to wait.
And then there are the good ones: These ones make the ride smooth and comfortable and don't get on your nerves.
Thats rather a bit of a summary about why I am so excited to not have to ride the bus next semester. So, anyways, I'm off to watch New Moon with the girls from work. Not that I'm that psyched, I just thought it would be nice to have a night out with the girls. Sure to be chaos and mayhem at the theater...
