I've been watching a lot of Gordon Ramsay lately. They are showing his show "Cookalong Live" on BBC and it's .... amazing. I'm actually quite proud. I've been teaching myself to cook for the past 3 years and I think I've improved a lot.

Only three years ago? What inspired you to start? Oh, and I hope you don't mind but I added you for the cooking stuff, because I just started cooking as well. I never learned from my parents. I knew of you though from rightclicklick days but I haven't been consistently on LJ. I thought this was a good place to introduce myself

I don't mind at all being added at all. May we all be newbies at this whole cooking thing. :D

I was never really interested in cooking and I loved eating out. And that's what I did when I first moved out on my own. Eat out a lot until it became to the point where I became bored with eating out and starting doing take out. I realized that not only was I becoming bored with food but it wasn't healthy. So, I started to teach myself to cook by doing a different recipe each time. This happened 3 years ago when I started bringing my own lunch to work and it's progressed from there. And now I've regained my love for food again and the joy of eating at a restaurant has returned. And yeah, I became a whole lot more healthy in long run as well.

Gosh ... is rightclicklick still running? It seems like ages ago since I did that.
